Our understanding of human-social complexity supported by advances in computational social science (CSS) is at a critical juncture, making it desirable to work towards a synthesis of scientific thinking on key concepts, principles, and challenges for this fledging field. In this presentation I will discuss a "Manifesto" as a viable framework for assessing and advancing the field. Emphasis will be placed on the full spectrum of research areas as viewed from a common core.
